Support Groups

CVIC’s support groups are for survivors and others in greater Grand Forks impacted by intimate partner violence, sexual violence, stalking and other crimes. All are free and confidential.

Please Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic all meetings except our online chat groups are currently suspended.

Online Chat Groups: Meeting during COVID-19

We offer two online chat groups moderated by CVIC advocates and therapists. Groups are held at the following times:

Survivors of Sexual Assault
Mondays @ 3:30 p.m
Fridays @ 10 a.m.

Survivors of Domestic Abuse
Tuesdays @ 2 p.m.
Fridays @ 1 p.m.

Sexual Assault Survivor Support (SASS)

Providing a safe place to find support, develop coping skills, and learn how to heal and be empowered. Trauma sensitive yoga offered 2x/month immediately following SASS.

Survivors in Bloom

For survivors of intimate partner violence, helping to develop and practice daily coping skills.

Creating Hope – Art Group

An art-based support group for women who have experienced domestic violence.

Together in Healing

Support, skills and education for non-offending caregivers of children who have experienced trauma.

UND Campus: Empower

For UND students who have experienced sexual harassment or assault, domestic and/or dating violence.
