CVIC’s Rural Safety Team Gears Up For Larimore Days

Community Violence Intervention Center team members have reserved a booth at Larimore Days this weekend so they can share information about violence prevention and education services in rural North Dakota.

The CVIC team will host their table starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

“Larimore Days is a wonderful opportunity to connect with members of our rural community,” said Caleb Eilts, CVIC Prevention and Education Specialist and a booth representative. “We’re excited to be around other community organizations and local businesses, and to have a chance to just talk with people about how we can support community safety.”

CVIC President and CEO Coiya Tompkins Inman said participating in events like Larimore Days is an excellent way to introduce smaller towns to the people and programs behind the organization.

“We meet people where they are emotionally and even geographically if we can,” Coiya said. “We never want proximity to services to ever be a barrier to someone in need of safety, healing and violence prevention services. The more we can get that word out, the better.”
