Rural Services
Is someone hurting you? Do you live outside the city of Grand Forks? Are you concerned about confidentiality or safety if you report what’s happening to you?
If you or someone you know experiences domestic abuse or stalking or has been sexually assaulted, a CVIC advocate can travel to your community to meet and help you access safety and support services.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2025, CVIC’s rural advocacy specialist will no longer hold office hours on Mondays and Thursdays at Spectra Health in Larimore. While our rural advocacy specialist will continue to be available at our main office and by phone, we are introducing a new mobile approach to better serve rural communities.
This mobile service will provide a safe, flexible space for clients to access advocacy, safety, and support services in locations throughout Grand Forks and Nelson counties. The rural advocacy specialist can meet clients where they are, ensuring that vital resources and support are within reach. To schedule a time or connect with the rural advocacy specialist, please call our main office at 701-746-0405.
Monday – Friday
8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
211 S 4th St., Grand Forks

CVIC services are available to residents in:
- Grand Forks County communities including Emerado, Gilby, Inkster, Larimore, Manvel, Niagara, Northwood, Reynolds, Thompson
- Nelson County communities including Lakota, McVille, Pekin, Aneta, Tolna, and Petersburg
