Celebrating Gratitude and Change: Highlights from CVIC’s 2024 Gratitude Gathering

On Monday, Dec. 9, CVIC hosted its 2024 Gratitude Gathering—an exclusive event honoring Dream Makers & Cherished Donors. Generously hosted by Bremer Bank, and held at the Ralph Engelstad Arena, the evening of inspiration and celebration brought together CVIC’s closest donors, partners, and supporters to recognize their transformative impact and share heartfelt stories of change.

View some of the memorable moments from the evening’s festivities below.

Here are a few highlights from the evening:

  • Catherine Gillach, associate superintendent of secondary education at Grand Forks Public Schools and chair of CVIC’s board of directors, opened the event with heartfelt gratitude and highlighted the agency’s achievements throughout the past year.
  • President/CEO Coiya Tompkins Inman shared key milestones from the first five years of our Safer Tomorrows Road Map—our bold strategic plan to end interpersonal violence in two generations—and outlined ambitious goals for the next five years.
  • CVIC board member/UND Vice President of Student Affairs Art Malloy and CVIC Leader Shannon Morley shared what it means to be “Champions for Change” through a powerful video, featuring a human trafficking survivor whose courageous experience and personal growth are opening doors for the next steps of her journey as well as opportunities to engage others in our mission.
  • Several Dream Maker Society members and CVIC friends shared personal reflections on their support for CVIC families, underscoring the profound impact of donor contributions. Spending time hearing these stories of generosity and transformation was a highlight of the evening.

Attendees also enjoyed beautiful music by CVIC volunteer Kevin Muiderman, adding a special touch to this celebration of hope and progress.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this inspiring evening. Together, we are building a safer future and making meaningful strides toward ending violence in Grand Forks County and beyond.
