Coordinated Community Response Project Initiated by the Grand Forks Domestic Violence Task Force in 1998 and spearheaded by CVIC, the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) Project is a major collaborative effort designed to improve the way our community responds to domestic violence. A highly regarded effort across the state and nation, the CCR Project involves major systems and organizations involved with domestic violence.
CCR Project Accomplishments
- Fundamental changes in the awareness and understanding of domestic violence, bringing domestic violence to the forefront of community priorities.
- Unprecedented collaboration, bringing both key professionals and field workers to the table, building consensus and initiating a system for regular dialogue, problem solving and case staffing. As a result, agencies now have a better understanding of the roles and challenges of each agency.
- Intensive needs assessment and review of agency domestic violence policies, and subsequent interagency agreements promoting victim safety and offender accountability.
- Computerized monitoring system to track cases through the system to identify system strengths and weaknesses. Collected data includes 911 calls, arrests, dual arrests, domestic violence case prosecutions, case dismissals, conviction rates and related areas.
- Gap-focused training, emphasizing areas of need identified through the monitoring system.
