The Need
Many individuals in our community experience the traumatic effects of victimization each year and need assistance as their cases enter the criminal justice system. Pathways Toward Justice was established in 1990 in response to the need to advocate for the rights of adult and child victims within the system and to ensure that they are treated with dignity and justice.
People Served
Pathways Toward Justice serves men, women and children who have become victims of a variety of personal injury and property crimes, including domestic violence, assault, rape, sexual abuse, stalking, manslaughter, murder, burglary, robbery, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, forgery, disorderly conduct, harassment, indecent exposure, menacing, interference with an emergency telephone call and other crimes. We also serve individuals who have been impacted by juvenile crime.
2010 Program Statistics
- 598 adults and children were provided guidance through the court system, including victims of assault, harassment, murder, kidnapping, robbery, stalking and related crimes.
- 99% of 88 clients surveyed were satisfied with our services.
