April 2007

• Jazz Spring Fling: A wonderful evening of great music and dancing, sponsored by the Blue Moose Bar & Grill of East Grand Forks! Date TBA. 

• Sexual Assault and Crime Victim Awareness Month: Service providers across the nation dedicate this month to ending sexual assault. Activities to be announced soon!

• Table Top Extravaganza: April 14, 2007. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church hosted its second annual Table Top Extravaganza, with proceeds benefiting CVIC.

• Crime Victims’ Rights Week was observed April 22-28, 2007. CVIC and collaborating government and nonprofit agencies launched a public awareness campaign during the week to send a strong message that our community stands behind victims of crime and works to safeguard their rights. The campaign drew upon input from victims, highlighted the excellent collaborative relationships we have built among criminal justice and nonprofit organizations, and proclaimed that our community supports crime victims – every victim, every time – and will not tolerate violent crime.
  

May 2007

• Rise and Shine for Peace Breakfast was held May 3 at the Alerus Center. it was a free, fundraising breakfast with inspirational speakers, video and entertainment. For more information, contact Edie at 746-0405 or edie@cviconline.org.

June 2007

• Ice Cream Social: We love to pay tribute to our supporters by sponsoring a build–your–own sundae bar with face painting, balloons and more! Date TBA.

July 2007

• Sanders Celebrity Night: Join Kim Holmes of Sanders 1907 and local celebrity servers for an evening of great food and entertainment! Date TBA.

October 2007

• Domestic Violence Awareness Month: CVIC and other organizations sponsor events throughout the month to commemorate those who have suffered or been killed by a significant other. Events include a Take Back the Night March and Rally, powerful Clothesline Project and more. Stay tuned for upcoming events!

December 2007

• Gift Wrapping Party: Every holiday, generous community members donate gifts for families we serve, who otherwise would not be able to provide presents for their children. Bring your family and join us for cider and goodies and spread the holiday cheer by wrapping some presents for those in need. RSVPs required. Date TBA.
