Erase Your Internet Tracks

Computer use can be monitored, and it is impossible to completely clear your history. If you are concerned about the trail that your computer leaves, follow the instructions to erase your browser's history below.

If you are afraid your internet and/or computer usage might be monitored, please use a safe computer, call your local hotline at 701-746-8900, and/or call the National Domestic Violence Hotline by phone at 1-800-799-7233, or 1-800-787-3224 (TTY).

To erase history from your browser, choose the browser type below:

Microsoft Internet Explorer	Under the 'Tools' menu, click 'Internet Options' Under the 'General Tab', click the following: 'Clear History' 'Delete Cookies' 'Delete Files'
Safari	Click History on the top menu. Click Clear History at the bottom of the menu
Mozilla Firefox	Under the 'Tools' menu, click 'Internet Options' Under the 'Privacy' tab, clear the following: History Cookies Cache
Opera	Under the 'Tools' menu click 'Preferences' Expand the 'Advanced' options and choose 'History' Click the button called 'Empty now'
Avant Force	Under the Tools menu click 'Clear Records' Clear All Records clears away history
